Peter and Jason had been best friends since their junior year in high school.
Jason had been the school bully — the tough kid who’d tormented freshmen and sophomores. He teased fat kids, nerds, and just about anyone he wanted. He hadn’t care, just so long as it gave him and his crew a hearty laugh. His crew weren’t really his friends. They hung with him because they’d enjoyed the thrill and the power that came with being Jason’s bud.
Jason loved being the school bully. He loved the power and control it gave him; a sort of security he hadn’t had at home. Whenever he’d been abused at home or the teachers gave him another failing grade, he’d find someone to intimidate or beat up.
And that’s how he and Peter met.
